Freeing Cap Space

He played through those whole 62 games with the shoulder issue. It’s called arthritis. Don’t just toss in a stats link but don’t factor in injuries, d partners, zone starts, etc.
Please compare Duncan Keith to caleb Jones stats for this year please and see whose “advanced stats” line up side by side with no other background info. Thanks.

I personally see Len Holland’s best course of action is to use our cap space and take flyers on guys with one year left. If they play good and help us succeed awesome, if they’re so so then the money is off the books next year to resign nurse/ jp

Also thanks for the feedback. To the New Jersey point too they could see bear as a better future asset past subban next year and just buy out Neal. I do believe hischer is already signed so it would just be Hughes and smith who shouldn’t cripple their cap

I do agree for the most part, but I see Arizona as so asset starved due to mismanagement, that they may be desperate to shed dollars and just recoup assets… again lol

You fail to include klefbom did that with one shoulder! It’s come out his injury was so bad he could barely put a shirt on unassisted.
But yes keep posting 2 year old stats thanks

Flames for real
It’s all about leveraging cap space and needs. Vegas gets a legit centre for no additional cap and only give up two picks.
Colorado may have to add a pick but it’s only for a year of JG
If you think lindholm as your 1c will be better than kuz as 1c then enjoy mediocrity man. Lindholm is good but he’s not a 1c, kuz has struggled this year but is a legit 1c

No it’s clear that you can’t afford Carla move at his price and sorokin on a new deal so you need to move varlamov. There’s no value in giving up multiple picks to help you out of cap issues. Cap space is the most valuable asset this off-season, wait and see, teams needing to dump contracts will have to PAY UP. Even for guys who have performed.

The Hawks are going to try to accommodate him, but I just don’t see them being willing to take a bath on a trade like this. Nobody is going to fault the team for not screwing themselves over. Worst case scenario, the team team tells him “We tried, sorry” and he can retire, void his contract, or sit out.</div></div>
You obviously have no clue about cap recapture penalties on those huge deals. But sure man piss him off and sit him for 5.5 mil or have him retire and really mess your cap up

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>thesaadfather</b></div><div>I haven’t seen anything written where Keith has specifically asked for a trade, or anything that implies he’ll be upset without one. There are plenty of ways for him to see his son without trading him. Frankly, I suspect that if Canada’s COVID restrictions are relaxed and he’s still here, it won’t be an issue. We have the young defensemen and cap flexibility to just give him time off during the season as well. I think you’re over-estimating your bargaining position here.</div></div>
The point of being closer to his kid isn’t the restrictions, it’s if on an off day from Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, or Seattle it’s less than an hour flight to see his son play or practice. From Chicago it’s more like 3-4 with time changes. Can’t just do that on an off day in Chicago. It’s been reported by multiple outlets and sources from across the hockey spectrum. I don’t see him sitting out if he’s not traded, but it’s kind of a bad look for the hawks to ignore the request at this point.

This here is exactly what I mean. The hawks get a good young dman who is controlled for a few years, get out of a bad deal eating less than half and only give up a second. Oil recoup lost potential in Jones with 2nd and get a good voice in the room for a manageable cap hit

I think you guys still have Keith playing like he has 2015 value. He’s decent still but since he’s forced the hawks hand by asking for a trade they have no leg to stand on. They can’t afford anymore negative press, and honestly getting a young controllable dman out of the situation should be considered a bonus for S.B at this point

Your value on gaudreau is insane. You will not get voracek, a first, a prospect and a former number 2 overall for a power play specialist. What are gaudreaus 5v5 stats like. His even strength scoring. He’s nothing without power play time, where he becomes obsolete in Philly behind better wingers.

Cool. I had no idea On the Laughton contract.
The basis is koskinen for ghost. Philly had no goalies to expose in expansion draft, and worst case they buyout one year or koskinen as opposed to two years of ghost if Seattle passes

How does gaudreau have that much value? I don’t know if I see Philly doing that for voracek one for one let alone for Patrick and a first.
