Cullen NOT coming back here, had a bad experience. No love lost. I know, but its personal with him.
Kreider is not going anywhere unless Gorton is blown away... That trade does not blow him away

Not in the Hard Cap ERA. I agree that TJ is a proven scorer.. but GM value cap space and short term deals more.

I still don't see Gorton trading Kreider, not after how dominant he played after the surgery and how he played in the WC. I think he is here to stay. The Zucc trade is a pretty solid return.

even though anaheim can use Tyler Johnson I don't think they give up Montour straight up without Tampa sweetening the offer a bit.

JT miller wants north of 4.75. also dont be surprised if JT is used to secure a 1st rounder this yr. Yzerman still has to sign Kucherov and probably needs the $$ and cap space.

Every single trade is horrible. Gorton is building through the draft and strategic trades for young players with the intent on being competitive in 2018-2019. These trades do not help with his plan

agreed on all points. although i would like to keep Spooner, he played well with Hayes & I am interested in seeing how they play together for a full season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rladda</b></div><div>I agree that he’s a great two way center but to get talent, you have to give up talent. That’s how it works. I don’t think we can package mediocre players and good picks to get an elite,young,puck-moving defenseman. I would love to acquire Hamilton without giving up our top players but I don’t think CGY would want that</div></div>
they have younger prospects to moveinto the lineup and have other players to Resign. They might haveto move Hamilton and if you are a sharp GM(which Gorton is) you can get him fairly inexpensive. Draft picks are assets in this salary cap league... Gorton is in a position of strength.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bloodykisame</b></div><div>That is a horrible deal for the 3rd overall. nyr would be giving up 1 A level prospect and 2 A- which are all considered top prospects considering how deep this draft is and the 2nd rounder will be between B+ and A- for 1 A+ prospect which could not pan out. I.E Bennet, Puljarvi are recent examples of top prospects not panning out 3rd and 4th overalls in their respected drafts.</div></div>
That is a huge over payment for MTL's pick. GM's have a chart of what the picks are worth in trade value. Way too much for the #3

Nashville NOT moving Ellis especially for a 30 year old on an expiring deal that will request upwards of 5 million for his next deal

remove Hayes and if you need to sweeten the offer give them Vesey. Gorton views Hayes as a core player. he is a 3 zone player that can kill penalties and score 30 goals. not trading him unless he is blown away.

no way Gorton gives up all that for Hamilton. Everyone missing the Point... Gorton will only move guys like Zuccalrello and Hayes if he gets absolutely blown away. NHL ready young asset and 1st rounder, thats his guidelines

Too conservative.. Ranger fans everywhere are underestimating the Plan that Gorton and his staff have put in place. If anyone thinks for 1 moment that Dolan will allow them to take their time in this rebuild then they do not really know how he operates or what he expects from the Rangers. I guarantee that this summer Gorton will be active making moves that totally remake the team and he will add Top 6 fwds and top 4 defensemen. They will come via trades, UFA's or the draft but the players brought in will be expected to make an impact next season. That is my Messier like Guarantee for 2018-2019
