Bigger and stronger D-core

While we wait for Romanov and other LHD to develop, I want our left side to make forward pay in the corners and to protect Carey Price.
I feel like Hagg (most hits in the NHL) and Chariot (huge guy) can add a lot of physicality while being able to play the Habs' game. (they can't be worse than Benn and Kulak at moving the puck.

WPG MTL TOR OTT PHI Trades

See him almost too much. I live in Edmonton.
he is pretty much Petry, except left handed.
he can slot in right beside Weber or Petry(Top 4). he is really under rated. 29 years old(just turned), can play in every situation.
I am generally a fan of Dman who put up 30 or more points in consecutive years(6 actually), while playing Pk. aka he isn't just a PP soft minute player.
the price is fair. Joulsen is young, still needs work and a mid 2nd is worth it.

Vegas trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Poehling</b></div><div>The cap of Clarkson count before October 1st</div></div>
From the CBA:
Can LTIR be used in the off-season?
Yes, LTIR can be used in the off-season while the 10% off-season cushion is active. LTIR in the off-season is calculated using the basic equation outlined above, which permits a team to exceed the off-season salary cap. To use off-season LTIR the team must provide doctors proof that the player in question will continue to be injured at the beginning of the regular season for 10 NHL games and 24 calendar days.
At the start of the season the teams LTIR relief & ACSL is recalculated when the 10% cushion is removed.

Contender poll
To be a contender, generally you need 7 things:
1.) Elite number 1 center
2.) Elite winger
3.) Elite number 1 defenseman (can play pp, pk, control the game)
4.) Capable back up goalie (the game has changed, you can't play your starter more then 55-60 games. Need a good back up goalie who can play 20-25 games
5.) Elite goalie
6.) Strong 2-way 2nd line center (contribute offensively as well)
7.) Depth Depth Depth on every position
What do the Habs have?
1.) Elite center in Duchene and an upcoming KK and Poehling
2.) Elite winger in Domi. Suzuki coming up. Drouin is good, but needs to be more consistent to be considered elite
3.) Elite defenseman in Shea Weber.
4.) NEED a capable back up goalie
5.) Elite goalie is Carey Price. thats a no brainer
6.) Strong 2 way center in Danault. Prob one of the most underrated 2-way cneters in the league. Doesst score 20 goals, but did pick up 40 assists and will likely be top 7 at least in selke voting
7.) Habs have a ton of depth in Gally, Tatar Lehkonen (cna still grow his game offensively) Suzuki coming up and prospects.

Huberdeau
MTL declines hardcore
we dont need an Injury Prone Winger which is exactly how he's been used for YEARS now .
the 1st alone is worth more to me the Huberdeau because this years draft is stacked so High people ranked top 10 are being pushed back by people like Ryan Suzuki and Dylan Cozens for Example who are overachieving well pas expectations leading the 2019 draft class in scoring .
Huberdeau 4 years ago for that package or similar , sure
but this assaults MTL's depth setting back our rebuild not accelerating it
