NSH declines. Why would NSH include on of their few centermen in a trade when they are struggling for center depth, and one that they just resigned to an extension?
Highly doubt NSH moves any of their centers this off-season, but Novak and O'Reilly are 2 that aren't getting touched.

It just needs a little tweaking - give the Preds SEA's 1st instead, and TOR can keep Järnkrok.

why would NSH trade Pärssinen.
He has 1 year of waivers left and his cap hit is minimal.
They won't move him till next year.

My Ideal Leafs Roster Next Season

I would say TOR is a good partner if they are willing to move Cowan, as Cowan looks to be exactly what NSH would want. On top of that Cowan and Evangelista played in London together for a brief time, so there is already a relationship between two players that would make the transition a bit easier.

NSH very easily declines this. If Saros is being traded the return for NSH needs to be high quality and as immediate as possible. With NSH already starting conversations with Saros, as Trotz said was his intention, there is no low-balling. You come out with a strong offer or Trotz just ignores you and resigns Saros instead

Shark Week 2nd Mock Roster 2024-2025
As a Preds fan, this Saros proposal is too much.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tintin</b></div><div>Saros might get one of Holtz, Casey or a 1st rd pick, not all three.
Not even the 10th overall pick on its own.</div></div>
And these Saros proposal suggestions are too little.
NJ's 2024 1st, 2026 2nd, Casey and Karpovich for Saros and Tomasino.
Now this Saros proposal is just right.

Offseason plans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CM_Insane</b></div><div>True they may be cheaper but with the kids coming up for them they may prefer a better defensive player for Fabbro who wasn't playing until an injury. Van could add to them was just base off possible deal.</div></div>
NSH has multiple forwards in the A that are either NHL ready, or on the cusp of being so. Can't say the same about their current RD prospects. NSH will have more holes to fill on RD too, with Barrie (and possibly Carrier) not returning.
It's been a bit perplexing why Brunette scratched Fabbro so much, but he plays well with Josi. A guy who can play on the top defense pair is a lot more useful than a $4.75M depth forward, IMO. Especially when NSH already has several vet defensive forwards in the mix (Sissons, McGrattan, Smith, Jankowski).

Moving 2 out of the Big Four
Feel like Nyquist coming off the year he just did could probably reel in a 1st on his own.
Though nashville could use a center, i dont see them spending actual assets on one that will be 34 when the season starts. So Tavares and his really high caphit would not be of any interest. I could see them circle back if he hits UFA kind of like they did with ROR. A aging free UFA center is a different beast than having to pay assets for one.
Glass and Fabbro are probably on the outs in Nashville and could be had for the right price.

NSH fans are unanimous in having no interest in a Marner trade in the first place.

That's a pretty weak offer for Saros. The picks are underwhelming, and Forsberg drags the value down further.

If NSH doesn’t see a future with Tomasino, I could see this working. Feels like a slight overpay honestly. A 1 for 1 for RHD or C in a similar situation makes the most sense imo. But ultimately just want the most value they can get if they put him on the block.

That's a large downgrade in production, and multiple years of a hefty cap hit, just to pick up a 2nd for NSH. It's an easy pass from them.

taking suggestions for NSHs next 3rd jersey in the comments
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>villenash</b></div><div>https://www.icethetics.com/concepts/exploration-in-nashville
I like the blue jersey in the link above as an option for a 3rd jersey. Ever since the winter classic designs came out, I’ve thought the walking saber-toothed tiger logo with the Nashville word mark would be a cool option for a jersey.</div></div>
I love that logo. Not a huge fan of the sleeve stripes with the numbers inside them on that mockup, but the rest of it is good.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nativewulf</b></div><div>We need a serious navy alternate. I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. Every fan I've talked too about it loves the silver, white and navy jerseys from the 2011-2012 season. I know Gold is our calling card, but switching to Navy and Silver for alternates occasionally would be fun</div></div>
I think the best way to give the fans the navy jersey they want, but maintain the gold identity is to pair a navy 3rd with gold pants and helmets. U of Minnesota does this with a white jersey, and it looks great. I think it could work with the Preds' colour scheme too.

NSH is pretty high on L'Heureux, and they've got enough talent coming up on the wings that they don't need to shell out all of that for Necas. He's not a difference maker.
