from MTL's side we say deal .
we like hitters who play on the PK
the other deals look fine but i think you overpayed on domi .
i'll give you a 5/5 mostly because i dont mind if you over pay for all i know you are trying to dump cap and that's why there is an extra pick

Pittsburgh deadline deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RandomGuy1</b></div><div>Actually, we don't even need retention on Vermette as you can see with my moves there is plenty left in cap space. Questionable if he can get a 2nd. He's a bottom line center, has some ability to play 3C. That's more 3rd round pick material.
Oduya is UFA. So is Chris Wideman. Ottawa takes on salary by replacing one of their UFA defenseman with Hunwick. His cap hit is still reasonable, but I threw in bottom 6 NHL ready prospect as well.
You also have to consider Penguins are asking to add salary on Kane. Teams don't retain salary for free. The team is also overloaded with wingers if you don't ship out Sheary in the deal. I stand by that deal, all of them really, and would likely just modify the Vermette deal to forget the 5th and the salary retention, as it isn't needed.</div></div>
Vermette got a first before and Boyle got a second last year.
Ottawa doesn’t want to take on salary, thus it makes no sense.
You’re seriously saying we should trade Sheary++ for a UFA Kane? I like Kane and would trade for him, but the difference between Sheary and Kane isn’t Gustavsson and a 1st PLUS the fact that Sheary is signed cheap for two extra years while Kane is a UFA.

Open question: is sanjose going To suck in 3 years because they are old
they have almost all short term contracts. they will decide if they will suck in 3 years. besides burns, vlasic and jones, everyone else's contract expires in the next 3 years. they could do a complete 180 with their forward core through free agency or they could resign most of their players. its completely up to them if they want to rebuild or if they want to push for a cup in the near future (personally i think they should push for a cup, they are already a playoff team and theyve come pretty close to a stanley cup in the recent past)

I totall agree, I just wanted to see what the team would look like if they did trade him.

2019 cup
I like the trades, i think its a stretch to call this a 2019 cup team just because there's a lot of unproven talent, lots of good assets brought in though

Imagine a rebuild
I think that Stone, Duschene and Chabot are the 'Core' right now, and to get Stone would take a real knock your socks off deal - that's not enough. Duschene is probably more available because of the contract situation, but the Sens would have to get back something comparable to what they gave up. Other than that, I think the return for Anderson looks a little high, and I'm not sure about the Calgary trade, but overall I'm thinking similarly.
