Offseason moves
Seattle refuses easily
Devils refuses aswell
Rangers might accepts granted they dont receive better offers
Arizona needs players to put on the ice next season, so I think they hold on to Crouse unless its a incredible return
I would try next year with Hoffman if thats the return we're gonna get
I dont like the retaining on Petry , but that may be the only way to ship him outta town

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GeneralLandro</b></div><div>Just like you said, Comtois is having a down year while Anaheim is a year or two out from being a playoff team — why would we trade Comtois for such little value then? Why wouldn’t we just hang on to him and bet on our own player that he regains form along with the team? I think the worst thing that comes from it is that he turns into a 4th line guy that has offensive upside</div></div>
The way I see it , you invested a 50th overall pick in Comtois , a steal if he'll be playing like a year ago , but a dud if this year is the real him . I'm willing to gamble on his potential . So you get back; a 65ish pick that has , let's say, a 25% chance of becoming a top 9 forward on your team ; Drouin , who also has a disappointing year because of injuries, but his talents are undeniable and you can still sell him at the deadline for recup assets ; and Poehling who's already a bottom 9 forward .
P.S I just saw, I meant a 2nd rounder not a third

Do you have an article on trading after the deadline , because I've looked at the CBA and wasn't able to find anything ... But you're not the first I see come up with this trade

Have fun being outed in the first round again , as your goalie problems smothers your playoff chances. All because your GM doesn't want to trade picks for a position of need.

The problem is that Chychrun might be worth that , but true contenders aren't able to muster a package like that, and a team like the kings will never give an unprotected 1st rounder in a great draft.

The guy is clearly the best available defenseman on the FA market , and with the departure of Petry , we need an offensive , puck controling dman. He isn't gonna take a pay cut to come play for the habs, no one is. Also he's currently on his best season as far a ppg goes.

I understand but seing the return that the trade of Seabrook's contract got, I think it's hard for an owner to not tell his GM to trade him : save money and acquire assets.

There's potential but I don't think MTL is to keen to take on Kassian's contract. Kent Hughes and Jeff Gordon said that they were looking to make a splash during the offseason so cap space will be of the utter imporatnce.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>avaholic21</b></div><div>Kadri is gone no matter what. He's gonna get probably $8M range I think and Avs cant do anywhere near that.</div></div>
The team that's gonna pay 8 M $ for Kadri is in for a rude awakening that Kadri is a 50-60 pts scorer and that this is a career year. As for the money , I think the Avs do their best to trade Erik Johnson and JT Compher this offseason to replace them with cheaper option . They should be able to save about 4.5 M between the 2 of them which should cover the increase in salary of Kadri and Kuemper. I think the player they lose in Nichushkin for sure. He's due for a pretty big increase himself .

If you do this trade , then you lose Kadri in the offseason for sure , as you won't have the cap space. Plus Miller , is worth more than the package you're offering . Maybe if he was a rental but he comes with terms .

Feed back pls Habs TDL and Offseaon
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ricochetii</b></div><div>1. 4th + 5th for Giroux retention maybe. 4th is in the range of $1.25M retention. 5th should be enough for the rest (or a low end prospect).
3. Kravtsov for a 2nd, sure.
Garand for Kulak doesn't make sense. No need for a middling goalie prospect.
Berard is not near enough for Lehkonen.
4. Chiarot to Boston for a LHD doesn't make sense. Not a want or a need. Even without considering rivalry and fit.
5. Idea and return is "okay", but nothing to jump at. Allen needs to be back in action first regardless.
6. I personally think it's worth a 2nd to Arizona for Weber's contract. If it were my money and I had that many 2nd rounders, I'd do it.
I think the cost is actually lower however. Weber's contract isn't a factor right now, but the opportunity to move it before it gets in the way might be more important than getting return value.
You have to consider his $8M eating up the majority of the 10% off season cushion.
7. Pretty meh return for Petry. Last resort is to move him for a shorter term contract. I'd keep him before moving him for that little, but this is at least something to consider if he absolutely has to be moved.
8. No way. Not doing Toronto any favors and the last thing we need is another expensive goalie with term.
9. Not bad, but retention might be required. I'd settle for Allard and a conditional 3rd (Drouin games played).
10. Can't see Gourde being a consideration unless it's for Dvorak. Seattle will also want a piece with more high end potential, none of the 2nd, Poehling, or Armia qualify.</div></div>
Thank you for your complete feedback

If you look at last year's TDL the shark's made such a retention in a 3-way trade. They didn't gain that much more.
