I don't hate the idea of signing Stephenson. I think this team can remain competitive signing a stable of 2Cs at lower AAV, fortifying the D/wings, and trying to draft and develop that 1C over time. I don't think E. Lindholm is an elite 1C, so this team should not get sucked into paying him like one. Of course, I'd take E. Lindholm and 7m over Stephenson at 6m, but I think Lindholm will get more on the open market than that.
I'd probably pass on Zadina and Zadorov though. I'd keep Heinen and sign a puck-moving LD to compete with Wotherspoon for 6LD instead.

I said they’d begin the fall last year, not doing it again this year until I see it lol probably finish either 3rd in Atlantic or as WC1. Like you said, still have a very good D corps and 2 great goalies, just need to hope they can get depth scoring behind Pasta and Marchand

Coyle deserves the 2C spot over Monahan. Marchand and Hall swap. Lauko probably gets more. Good job! Well thought out!

If they move Hall contract fix the D or C.

I think McAvoy gets the C. Bruins have success when defenseman wear the C, it's proven.

Blow it up
Bruins defensively collapsed. Couldn't handle Florida's speed and ability to control the neutral zone. Sway and ullmark left out to dry. Embarrassing play for them not gonna lie. This was huge.

Agreed for Forbort and 28-75 hasn't worked as much this season especially since Forbort's return of injury.

Could also go after Bjugstad. Cheaper contract and won't cost as much to acquire.

No point in trading Reilly, he is a cheap buyout next year. And if there is a trade for Reilly to Chicago, the picks are coming from Boston along with him.

Ya this team is gross. Barbashev is a perfect add in my mind.
I hope the Leafs and Bruins face each other in the playoffs. I need to see this matchup happen.
I assume Barbashev gets close to 2 x 2nd's. I am not sure who those prospects are, so they would need to be equivalent to that.

The Chicago trade won’t work. Consider that it cost Vancouver a 2nd round pick to move Dickinson prior to the season.

Yup. I’d even do it 1 for 1. Boston loses the trade but it gets them under the cap.
Flames improve their roster with an expiring contract so it does not hurt them next year for a spare part.
Works for both teams.
Been calling for this for awhile now.
I really wanted Bellows from Isles. But this would do.

With only about 6 teams with available cap space to about 12 teams that need to move players to become cap compliant, that cap space will be at a premium.
Boston is my 2nd team so I hate to say it, but sorry, you probably need to add a sweetener for anyone to take Smith, probably for future considerations.</div></div>
Vegas is still 6m over with a 21 man roster and Hague still to sign.
Boston is cap compliant by burying Wags and Foligno leaving a 22 man roster.
Huge difference.

You clearly don’t understand my post had nothing to do with Reilly destination. I said nothing of the that. I said Reilly has value to a team. I did not say it was Chicago. Reading comprehension…try it.

I like the Subban add, but his agent thinks he's still worth around 3-4 on a multiple year deal. That might be wishful thinking but he probably gets more than 800K.
I do think it would be a good idea for Subban to take a one year deal to prove he's worth more money and term

Jets probably don't want to spend $3.1 million on Smith, as they have their middle 6 right wings in Perfetti and Appleton (or Wheeler and Appleton depending on how you number the lines). I don't expect them to do much with the roster at all.

I think Smith would be a nice fit with the jets and dont see him as a cap dump at all. Actually...paying this price is a bargain for a versatile F who's consistently put up numbers in this league
The jets really dont need another F but he would be an improvement
