Guys I Really Wanna See Win A Cup At Some Point
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SuprDave45</b></div><div>LOL come on man...
The guy gave 9 years of his career, and the Islanders made the playoffs ONCE in that time! They play their home games in a basketball arena for God's sake...and there's no clear solution to that in sight. Having no idea where the team is going to play it's home games isn't a problem to you? If your honest, the Islanders have been run horribly for the last 15 years, do you accuse them of betraying their players? Lou Lamarillo showing up for a week doesn't make all of that go away!
I know it hurts as a fan to see such a great player get away but he exercised his contractually given right to leave, kudos to him for having the balls to do what (to everyone on the outside) looks like the smart move. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the organization for letting him walk and getting NOTHING in return. The team would be just fine had they hauled in a proper kings ransom for having moved him, they'd be sitting pretty right now. That's the real crime, fans should be furious with the team!</div></div>

I completely agree with the fact that the organization was pathetic but he kept saying he wanted to bring the cup to Long Island they went out and got lou Lamoriello and Barry Trotz and JT left. It’s not that he left it’s that he said the whole time he was going to stay and said don’t trade me. Also he should’ve let the islanders know earlier and not leave them in the dark as he has spent nine years on the island

He took that contract at a discount so Tavares would stay and he betrayed him and the whole organization with how poorly he handled the situation.

No reason to buyout Gibson and no way Seguin comes to the islanders and this is coming from an islander fan. However, I do believe Duchene will end up in an isles uniform at some point ether via trade or free agency.

it's not that he left it's the way he did it. All along he said he was going to bring a cup to long island. Isles went out and got Lou and a cup winning coach in Trotz. What else did you want from us Johnny? Have fun in Toronto and I cannot wait for a playoff series (hopefully) where Barzal scores the overtime winner to send you to the golf course and see the look on your face in the handshake line.

Draft one. Joe Veleno will be there at 11

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trickydick55</b></div><div>actually what I said is having 3 strong centers is more important than having BOTH eberle and lee. whats laughable is you not understanding scoring wingers are easier to come by in trade and FA (hell even garth got one) and that success in the league and more importantly, the playoffs is largely predicated by strength down the middle (see WSH, TBL, NSH, BOS, PIT). Controlling the middle of the ice far outweighs scoring from the outside. this is why Centers go for premium price in the NHL.
no ones taking a pay cut. you might have a shot with Eberle, but doubtful. there is no way after scoring that many goals over his last contract that anders lee isnt expecting to get paid big time and thats fine by me. Pay lee but let Eberle walk. we have two very promising wing prospects in system and none at center. centers are harder to develop and adapt to the NHL game (see ryan strome). the only way, the ONLY way they can sign both lee and eberle, is if LL can get rid of ladd or Boychuks contract but unlikely.</div></div>
Id rather have Nelson. He’s always good for 40 points and won’t be as expensive as Bozak. So there you have your center depth

no matter what you do at 3C you will not be able to sign both lee and eberle unless one of them takes a team friendly deal. even if you could, having 3 strong centers is way better than having lee and Eberle. Beauvillier is going to get a bridge deal - hes had one okay year and one good year. he has no arbitration rights, so why would lou offer up a big contract?
So again ill ask you, or maybe you aren't mentally capable of answering simple questions: in a year with a cap expansion, and few centers in the market what do you think Bozak is going to get if 4.7 is too much?</div></div>

Also your comment about a third center being more valuable than Lee and Eberle is laughable. Lee scored 40 goals and Eberle had 20 and worked well with Barzal. Both of them are team guys and you can’t say they won’t be able to re sign both of them.

If you can read between the lines I don’t care what Bozak is going to get but if someone wants to give a third line center 4.7 million a year they can go for it. I don’t know what Bozak is going to get and I hope he gets paid but just not by the islanders.

Don’t break up the Barzal line Beauvillier and Eberle were great with Barzal and Lee is a 40 goal scorer so in that trade you aren’t getting anything in return
