<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>J_Sand3rs</b></div><div>As a Dallas fan, I can state that your comments about them aren't entirely accurate. The Stars were actually top-10 this season in team defense. Their biggest issue was actually depth scoring (namely 2nd line scoring). O'Reilly would bring that. While Oettinger is a fantastic goalie prospect, he's actually not the best goalie in our system. That title is currently held by Colton Point. He led the NCAA in SV% this season, and ranked 2nd in GAA. While I would love to hold on to both Point and Oettinger, this is probably the most accurate Stars deal I've seen for O'Reilly. With the draft in Dallas, I think Dallas would be much more inclined to give up their 2nd round pick and an extra low-mid range prospect. I personally don't think O'Reilly is necessary for Dallas, simply because there are better options available through free agency (JVR, Neal, Perron, etc.), but should Dallas trade him, this is a deal I would heavily consider...if I were Jim Nill.</div></div>

Heck if you guys are moving Girgensons and we end up Montgomery as a coach, I could see us adding a bit to grab him. As a Buffalo fan, the Sabres should be getting WAY more for RoR. As a Dallas fan I don't think we have the necessary people to make it happen. I would start with a stud defenseman and Dallas is not moving Klingberg or Heiskanen. Otherwise Lindell, more established, or Honka, higher ceiling are the start of the convo. I'm also asking for a good prospect, Dallas dosen't have much but Dickinson or Tufte come to mind. Lastly I'm asking for a roster player and a pick, so perhaps Shore or Ritchie along with a first. So I doubt it happens but I'd be over the moon with RoR in Dallas, the guy is a stud.
