I'm not sure what might be only 30 games of Micheal Ferland is worth several years of Kasperi Kapanen.

I'm not sure several years of Brett Pesce is worth several years of Timothy Liljegren, Jeremy Bracco and the player taken in the second round.

Leafs can't afford the trade this season, never mind the never happening sign and trade for Ferland for multiple years.
