Description
In my opinion we should go for Tarasenko/Stone. If we can get one of them fine, if not we should move on with the pieces we have.

I don't want rentals like Simmonds or Ferland on our team for a mediocre playoff run... With Tarasenko or Stone (Panarin is awesome too but he won't re-sign) we can compete this season in the playoffs and we have two phenomenal lines in the future.

I really liked Krejci this season and he showed his skills as a playmaker when he played with Pasta and Marchy. He just needs a better RW, although Cehlarik looks good so far.

In the 19/20 season Backes is moveble and I think we could trade him. If another 6M are free we have no problems with the cap hit and can save the money for DeBrusk.

Tarasenko is playing his best hockey in over a year and unsurprisingly the rumors have all but disappeared. They aren’t trading him and are especially not gonna do it unless DeBrusk or McAvoy is in the deal.

Asking for someone is always allowed. smile Of course the Blues won't gift us Tarasenko, he is awesome. It's just my opinion how we should enter the market. If we can get Stone/Tarasenko good, but no thank you to a mediocre player that costs are more than he brings us.

You could probably get Stone for close to that price considering he’s a rental. Stone also is probably better than Tarasenko.
