Even if I didn't offer enough, there's plenty more picks and prospects to add on. Regardless, the trades make sense for both teams.

I don't think he is untouchable but Hronek has played 26 games and has 13 points and he's comfortable on the power play. He and Cholowski (who is untouchable) are what Detroit's defense has needed but they have to trade off because has a couple defensemen that are untradeable because of cap hit and contract length. Just as people start get on board with what our GM is doing he moves out a defenseman opening up a slot for one of them he brings in another D who isn't waiver exempt.
I wouldn't make that trade because neither prospect in the deal are in your top 10. Thomas is in his 3rd full season in the AHL hasn't been called up once and Somppi in playing in the ECHL. With Hronek has proven he can play in the NHL it isn't enough for me. Maybe a higher draft pick or a better prospect but either way I don't think it will happen before the TDL. If I was Tampa and Detroit was asking for more I'd wait till the end of the season and see how he finishes the season maybe a draft deal. I have no idea what Holland would do and hopefully Yzerman comes on board before Holland does any real damage.
