Description

The fact that Anisimov is still here kind of points out that Panarin could be coming back. (if he accepts $9m that would be good). And if not, no big deal either, AA will be moved and Hawks will sign some other player(s). 1st line LW shooter would be nice and a puck carrier for the 3rd.
I'd be happy to see a move for a solid stay at home D, to improve the GA, but I'd prefer to see it 2-3 weeks ago, that would have helped Hawks to win some games and to be in better position for playoffs. They can still make it, but unlikely and even if they do, they will exit in the first, so no biggie. They also could have moved some minor pieces for picks, but no biggie again. Overall, I think Hawks is in a good place (with all the D prospects in the queue) and some F.

Sorry but unless you land Jack Hughes I doubt your team is making the playoffs next year, even with Panarin. Time to start moving out some pieces, if you can with those contracts.

There is only one contract pretty bad contract that is Seabrook (perhaps buyout is in the future). The rest are fine, maybe Anisimov is overpaid by $500k, but trading him is not going to be a problem, if they choose to. Chicago is in top 6 goal scoring teams this year, all they need one/two decent shutdown Dman, healthy Crow and good to go.

I don't disagree. Just saying it could happen. I'm sure Hawks can get someone nice to play with Kane and Toews that is not going to cost them $10M. I just don't think Cagguila is cutting it. I like his play, but maybe on bottom 6, forechecking.
