Description
All trades are done at the draft.

We trade Greene to a playoff team to give him a shot at a Cup before he retires.

Noesen and Santini are just to get them off the roster, because f*ck them and their garbage ass play.

Zajac trade is for the same reason as the Greene trade, but he gets to go play at home. We take a couple prospects, a pick, and retain almost half of Zajac's salary.

Last trade is a to send the 2019 3rd we got from LA to the Isle for rights to Ilya Sorokin. Then Shero buys out Schneider and let's Blackwood and Sorokin battle for reps.

Then we sign Matt Duchene to a 7 year, 9.75 million dollar deal for 2 reasons. First, to bring in extra center depth and to help with secondary scoring. This would give us 3 lines that could help out with scoring rather than the 1-2 we have now. It also moves players into roles that they are more suited for and keeps them from playing over their heads. Secondly, we show Hallsy that we are committed to bringing in players to compliment him and to take some of the weight of winning/scoring off his shoulders.

Finally, we sign Erik Karlsson to a 1 year, 16 million dollar contract to come onto this team and help teach our young d-core to be more offensively minded with the puck, and how to be responsible while doing it. We then let him walk at the end of next season, hoping that at least a couple of the young b*stards we have on defense retained some of the information Karlsson taught them.

This then leaves us with $34 million and change to resign Hallsy, Nico, Bratt, Vatanen, and Blackwood.
- Hallsy $84 million/8 years ($10.5 mil AAV)
- Nico $36 million/6 years ($6 mil AAV)
- Bratt $18 million/ 6 years ($3 mil AAV)
- Vatanen $20 million/4 years ($5 mil AAV)
- Blackwood $7.5 million/3 years ($2.5 mil AAV)

*All extensions are signed during THIS off season.

I mentioned it in my description, but the Zajac trade is for the same reason as the Greene trade, but he gets to go play at home. We take Perreault to even the cap hit a bit, and we swap prospects.

Zajac makes way more than Perreault and Vesalainen is a better prospect than Quenneville....WPG also has cap problems so we wouldnt add cap hit when we need to trade Perreault

Then we can retain salary to make their cap hits even, since Zajac only makes $1.625 million more, and switch Quenneville out for a prospect of even caliber, or switch Vesalainen for Stanley. But Quenneville has 4pts in 30gp and Vesalainen has 1pt in 5gp, just saying.
