Description

Hawks trade the rights to players like Forsling, Koekkoek, Dahlstrom, Hillman for picks or younger prospects. They would obviously keep 1 or 2 of them.
Krys, Mitchell, Beaudin, and Boqvist begin there pro careers in Rockford during this year.

All of this is in preparation of the 2020-21 season. Blackhawks draft a forward high in this years draft.

They will have to spend a lot on their top 6 but when that top 6 is Duchene, Toews, Saad, DeBrincat, Strome, and Kane that shouldn’t be something to worry about.
At that point you should be able to draft well enough every year to sustain a bottom 6 of mostly ELC or cheap <$1M contract players.
The defense will on be great this year but the following you hope to expect Keith, Joki, Murphy, Seabs (eye roll), and then 2 young guys and maybe Dalhstrom/Forsling/Koekkoek.

Singing Duchene for that kind of money and playing him at wing is kind of crazy. Kruger won't sign for less then $1.5M, he will hit the free market and get that and the Hawks should let him go. Kampf is the future 4C anyway and Highmore could be an option. Kampf will sign for more then that, likely $1M to $1.25M. Barratt should consider being brought up, he will hopefully replace Anisimov next season or the season after; Kurashev, Hagel and Entwistle are also options.
