I do believe Barrie is moved this offseason but I think they get a little more than Kapanen and a pick. Not a bad package but I do think they will look for a 1 for 1 type of value in a top 6 forward for him,

Also I would not be shocked to see him and kerfoot put together for the same return. My dream would be Barrie Kerfoot for Huberdeau Pysyk as the frame work of a deal

Kapanen is a 22 y.o that’s gonna hit 50 pts. This year, for an expiring d-man I’d say that’s a good return, then the pick is added because Defense is a hot commodity right now

Barrie is one of the top RHD puck moving offensive Dmen in the league. Its not a slight against Kap but hes getting to play with Matthews line. Is he a 50 point guy on the 2nd line with lesser line mates? Bc thats what he would be oon the Avs.

In this case he would be playing with Hughes and Kakko so yeah I’m sure he will be fine, and also i don’t believe kappy is relying on Matthews, I think he is a very good player in his own right, but even if I’m wrong Hughes and Kakko are some good linemates

Watching him float and cherry pick against the Avs with Matthews feeding him unreal thread the needle passes to spring him on break aways...I would say his stats benefit a lot from Matthews.

And no youc ant assume he is playing with Hughes and Kakko...bc 1 Sens pick doesn't mean its a lock to get those guys and 2 you are making it sound like the Avs are going to win the lottery too which is just silly thing to say.

Even in this scenerio, you think hes going to be a 50 point guy with 2 rookies as line mates? Kapanen is a RW....Kakko is a RW. So you have to make someone play their off position too. Thats just such flawed logic
