Kinda interesting actually.. I like these ideas from Toronto's point of view.

With New Jersey, maybe take out Rooney and the Toronto 3rd and I'd be more willing to make it. Can't see Rooney getting much of a shot in Toronto so it would just kinda be a waste of giving up a 3rd for Toronto. But I like the idea of Zacha. He could use a change of scenery badly. I seen him play in junior and he was dominant. He definitely has more game to give. & he's a good left handed shot which the Leafs badly need in the organization. I'd keep him on the wing still in Toronto, wouldn't say he's ready to be a centre yet but could turn into one. Devils might be a good place for Zaitsev too. They have the cap space and their game style fits his place to make the contract more worth it. & Santini is a solid defensive guy. Could easily be moved too when Liljegren is ready for top 4 mins so it makes sense from an organizational depth perception too. Giving up Kappy kinda sucks, but it might be a reality for cap reasons. I'd personally rather keep Johnsson over Kapanen too so might as well cash in on Kapanen's value while you can.

Edmonton deal is a bit shaky. The value is pretty good, maybe take out one of the 3rd's Edmonton's sending and send a depth prospect instead. Not sure Edmonton makes it sense they already have 3 good centres, but if they stuck to keeping Draisaitl on McDavid's wing it would make sense. They'd just have to make the cap room for it. Larsson is an interesting guy, not really a top pairing guy but he would be in Toronto. Wonder if he can handle that or not, but it's definitely an upgrade.

Overall, well done actually. I'd give it about 3.75 stars outta 5, and only cause its a big IF to see if Edmonton takes another centre, but the value is pretty fair

Thanks for the feedback. Discussed with a NJ about an offer consisting of Kappy+Zaitsev+2nd+3rd for Santini+Zacha...figured TOR's paying a tad too much, so I added Rooney+4th.

And yes, I'm aware of EDM's situation, but it seems now that Draisaitl is going to be more of a winger for McJesus, so I thought EDM could have some use for a good 3C...Kadri fits well in that role. Hope he gets decent linemates...figured it's gonna be Khaira and Yamamoto, if first line is Drai-McDavid-Chiasson and the second is Brown-RNH-Pulju, which might not be too bad.
