personally don't think we need to trade for Dunn, we have tons of D prospects, Trouba one is a is a little different because he plays the right and is better than Dunn

I would trade for Dunn because between him Skjei, Miller, and Hajek, if one of them don’t pan out to their full potential, we would still have 3 solid LHD. Plus, if they are all wonderful we just swap whoever we need least in exchange for a player of a position in which we are not strong. Getting Dunn gives us lots of options, which is important and is like power in a way.

Jets say no pretty easily. Have no need for Andersson, namestnikov, or even pionk to some extent. If you made it some combination of buchnevich, pionk, and our 2019 1st coming back that would be better
Also if you could take kulikov for the purpose of buying him out that would be even better

Jets would need a 2C in the likely case that Hayes does not resign. Andersson does that and can be exceptionally good with Winnipeg’s top forwards. Namestikov would be good for the third line or as a depth forward (more salary can be retained if needed) and Pionk has the skills to be an excellent offensive defensemen, and playing on a good Winnipeg blue-line would allow him to play comfortably, hence making his performance better. Two picks also add more value. That being said, I’d like to know why Jets would say no “pretty easily”. Just out of curiosity for Jets’ fans reasoning

Andersson does not help us as much as you think as our Center depth is Scheifele, Little, Lowry, Copp, Roslovic. Andersson would be 6th there. The jets need an IMPACT center not a middle or bottom six center. Namestnikov would only take ice time away from NHL ready top prospects like Vesalainen and Appleton and realistically brings the same game as perreault. I am in on Pionk though. Him next to say Chiarot (if he is resigned) or beaulieu would be great. This is why I am saying that this particular package doesn't suit WPG. Buchnevich is in a different boat though as he is a more skilled and cheaper piece that Perreault (assuming we bridge him). So Buchnevich, Pionk, and our 1st for Trouba and our 2nd
