Capitals gave up a nhl starting goalie ....... he had great numbers.

Try adding a roster player that fills a need like aj or kap

Also to prevent a stupid argument grub is a huge reason the avs are in the playoffs and the 2nd round

You need to give something to the team who's buying Marleau out. COL got Grubauer rights in exchange to 2nd rounder, which was pretty cheap, so any team will demand more than just a 2nd rounder for him...

Does Marleau waive his NMC? Maybe, but I highly doubt it if the teams hes being traded to plans on buying him out like you suggest.

That's an extra $8M against the cap that I think you've overlooked.

I also doubt Marner takes that contract.

Florida needs every cap dollar to sign their russians from CBJ. they are not wasting a Marleau buyout for a low 2nd
