What is the reason that TB would do this trade? Trading a bad contract for a worse makes no sense unless SY has compromising pictures of Mr. Vinik.

the tampa trade makes zero sense and I dont mind gardiner but hes super soft and marner isn't signing an offer sheet here but he would sure have to think bout 11.5 million. that being said keep the first rounders use them and offer sheet someone in 2 years when the roster is a bit better

First off Ericsson has a 19 team no trade list, Pretty sure Edmonton is on it. Nielsen already stated that he has no desire to return to the Islanders. And Tampa says Hell No.
