Vegas Trade: They are tight for cap space this upcoming season so they downgrade their rhd while gaining 2M in space and a few extra draft picks because that’s clearly something Vegas lacks

Ottawa Trade: If you look at 2 notable cap dump trades of the past (Datsyuk & Bickell) the team sending the dump is also sending the most valuable piece but still receiving something of somewhat value in return. Also for a rebuilding team a lottery pick could really help.
