I honestly think that unless Suzuki gives the Habs no choice through camp that he'll play in the AHL next season. Get a full year of pro under his belt then compete for the Calder as a 21 year old rookie with a bit of added weight in 2020-21.

I've watched every single game of Suzuki in the playoffs and let me tell you that he is mature physically. He outmuscle his opponent when fighting for the puck in the corners and he's strong enough on his feet to keep the keep the puck when being pushed while protecting the puck. He is ready, there is no doubt in my mind. Look at Domi, Point, Barzal and Marner, they all directly came from the junior to the NHL even though they weren't the biggest one...

If he %100 earns it over veterans in camp then it's only right that he gets a roster spot. I just feel that with all the depth Montreal will have on the wings next season that they'll take the cautious approach and give Suzuki a year in the AHL playing top 6 and running a PP unit.
