Danault isnt moving . Point offersheet is interesting tho i dont understand why cap friendly give 4 first rounder for salary that seem to me under 10,568,000 and that would only give 2 secound rounder . Then u turn around do the same with Marner and then the team that play your division are more cap strangle at least even tho they would match .

Got to think that Tampa know they have to pay Point some where 9m plus. Let's say their top offer is 9.375m, does Point do the offer sheet for 10m to play in Montreal or take the 9.375m in Tampa? IMO Tampa has enough cache to sign Point for less than Montreal....What the cap difference is, that's up to the player.

The compensation is calculate with the total salary on a maximum of 5 years... So, because of the fact it's a 7 years contract, 70 millions is divided by 5, not 7.
