Description
Big issue is getting through next season until Marleau's deal is done.....maybe bridge deals for Kap and Johnsson, a couple of trades for cap relief and good young players to replace the guys moving out. Personally, I would trade Willy and use his money to pay and keep both Johnsson and Kap but most don't like dealing Willy. Cap balance is needed and so is D help, moving a couple of forwards is necessary. IMO Sparks should not be back, he is inconsistent and can't be counted on for the 25 starts needed per year.

Amazing to me how Toronto fans dont understand that a balanced 22 is number of players dressed and needed to win .. so now Matthews Tavares Marner and Nylander will take up nearly half of teams salary cap!!!! .. yeah that a winning strategy and sure to boost team morale and performance .. pick 1 of those 4 and trade them .. doesnt matter who .. and get some D .. jeesh

I agree with that Nylander might be the most logical Leaf trade even if the return isn't much. It's the cap space that is needed. Jets can't do that trade for cap reasons.
