1) Drop Day and the 3rd and that's Almost the value of trading Kreider with an extension...
2) The Zucker trade that was in place was a late1 st + Frolik. Namestnikov = younger + healthier Frolik. So what you're saying is 2nd + 3rd + Lindgren + that difference moves up to a late 1st. Which sounds like too much.
3) If you're going after ex-Rangers centers, I'd rather have Lindberg than Brassard at this point...
4) Sign Deangelo long term.

1) & 2) Would taking out the 3rd round pick in each scenario make them less of an overpay?
3) I went with Brassard for more of a veteran presence
4) I was having a hard time pegging what he long term contract should be....was thinking either 5 years or 6 years at $4.25 - $4.75M but felt more comfortable projecting a 2 year bridge deal at an overpay (probably) of $2.75M AAV.

I'm just giving you appropriate values. Veteran presence means what exactly? How far has it gotten Marc Staal? It's certainly made everyone around him worse...do you mean that sort of presence? That's the sort of thing Brassard brings...

Here's your contract projections cheat sheet from the pros who are rarely off:
