You seriously think that the Avalanche would move from #3 back to #6 in return for pick #60? I want a hit off of whatever you've been smoking. (I'd ask for two, but I'm 71.)

No but I think they would move back 2 slots from 4 to 6, since they draft 4th. They want a forward and like both zegras and cousins, one would be available to them at 6 while getting an extra 2nd round pick. Thanks for the stupid comment though

The Tampa trade is ridiculous, no shot Tampa takes Daley's old ass for Callahan 2nd and 4th. Regardless of the amount retained.

Yeah but what if they want Byram just so that Detroit doesn't get him? If you want him pay up homeboy. I think LA will take him at 5 if he's available. So yeah Detroit's 2nd as well.

How did the Avs get #3? That's Chicago's pick. Maybe you have been smoking already.

The Avs pick 4th. To move from 4 to 6: look at the NHL trade value chart (search engine the chart to see what each pick is worth). You'll find out that Colorado would gain significant value to move back two spots and acquire pick 60. Then consider that the Avs need a #2 center and the Wings are looking for a d-man. That leaves the Kings as taking a forward which means the Avs get their 2nd choice among Dach, Cozens, or Zegras plus an extra 2nd that could pair with their other 1st round (#16 or their other 2nd) to move up. Or they could just use the extra prospect. Either way a trade down of 1 or 2 is Colorado's best options.
