Why is that? Clearly Minnesota is trying to move him (deadline, Kessel). What is he worth? The rangers have a ton of assets.

The Rangers seem like a weird fit for Zucker.

It's hard to say what Zucker is worth because the reported deals that fell through for one reason or another have been all over the place.

Calgary offered Frolik and their 1st, then apparently some deal involving Bennett.

Arizona offered Christian Fischer, not sure if other pieces were involved.

And of course Kessel and Johnson for Zucker and Rask which seems like essentially Zucker for Kessel with a swap of bad contracts. That makes it really hard to assess his value, but you're probably not far off with what your proposed, I just don't know if the Rangers need him as others have said.
