Description
Both Buffalo and Winnipeg may be underpays. Hopefully taking on Perrault makes it so that we do not have to give up Andersson or Howden, but that is doubtful considering the competition. Also, seeing that Andersson hasn’t done all that much at the NHL level, there is a possibility he is a bust (although he cannot be deemed that quite yet) and if so, trading him as a part of the package for Trouba will not be something we regret. The same thing could apply to Howden if traded, although he has shown that he has what it takes to be a solid center at the NHL level.
I think Buffalo trade is fair, but if not, a prospect going to Buffalo would be fine with me. NYR would give a defensive prospect if necessary, because we have a surplus of those, or take on a cap dump.
As for the Shattenkirk trade, let me know what you think his value is. I honestly just made a guess. Keep in mind that it isn’t necessarily to Anaheim, but to any team who will pay for him that he will agree to go to.
With 7th overall pick, Rangers hopefully draft a center to fill that 2C role in the future if Howden is not able to.

Buffalo decline. I like Kreider, but not for #7. Vesey is not needed at all, although Botterill is for some reason interested in him.Confused Choosing Dallas is likely to be late first.

Kreider is not worth the 7 overall pick. Vesey doesnt really have value at this point.

Sabres aren't trading their first for a 28 year old, more than likely, overpaid player. The only way they trade their first is to get a young talented roster player.

Honestly, I think Dallas first may surprise you. If you look at them over the past few years, they have been in and out of the playoffs, and if that is the case next year, this trade could be good for you. Also, Kreider with Eichel or even Middlestadt will be really good. He could be a 60 point player if he stays healthy and plays with good linemates. He would have done it this year, but got hurt and his production dipped as a result. Also, Buffalo has a solid prospect pool. Over the past years, they have gotten Eichel, Nylander, Dahlin, Middlestadt, etc. With this 7th overall pick, the vest player available will probably be a center, and Buffalo has good centers already. Unless they really love a certain player, I think Buffalo may do this. That may just be me hoping it happens though lol.
How is the Trouba trade?
