I actually kinda like these moves. Would rather keep Aston Reese and take back all of beagles salary though.

Not a good enough return for Ehlers. The rumor is they offered Ehlers for Pesce from Carolina. He has more value then what you are offering, especially if they add Perrault

I didn't realize Perrault had much value. I know he isn't a cap dump situation, but I had him more as overpaid for his role. So my thinking is that getting 2 players better and younger than him, but worse than Ehlers, plus the 1st and some cap space might be worth it to them. Just my thought.

2.5 million in savings isnt worth trading away Ehlers after one bad to average year,.... none of the players the jets are receiving have a higher ceiling than Ehlers so its a small cap savings to downgrade to lesser players.

Ehlers is one year removed from a 60 point player.....

2 years ago Bjugstad scored 49 points but hes only reached 40 points 2 times in 7 years.....ehlers scored 60 points 2x in 3 years

rust career high is 38 points in 4.25 season....his first year was 14 games so realistically lets say 4 seasons.......

Perreault career high is 45 he score 39 and 45 points 2 and 3 years ago.......

id say if you aren't just looking off last season the penguins are getting way better players than they are sending and its not a very fair deal for the jets at all
