The confirmed cap will be awful for the Pens, however, if GMJR is smart, he should certainly be able to manage to move a few contracts around to make the most of it and have a decent team. Is it perfect? No, not at all, but I feel as though these could be some good options moving forward.

Jack johnson contract will hunt them! Horrible but every nhl team got their own jack johnson so their not the lone in this situation. I hope in the next cba they vote for option in contract! This could be good for both player and team contract length of 8 years is very tough too manage

8 year contracts are the only ones that make sense, problem is they don't sign them till they are 27. They need to issue them after their 1st contract ends.
Johnsons deal is nothing though. 2 years. They will start the season with him and then off he goes by mid season.
