Description
As a preface to this, I'm gonna say I'd much rather have Lehner resigned, but with the rumors lately and the fact he hasn't been signed yet, I have a feeling Lou is entertaining the idea of signing Bobrovsky to ensure Panarin signs with the Isles.

Panarin and Bobrovsky as a package deal, while Lee gets signed on a 6x6.5 deal... Lou gives the 6th year, but at a cost of 500k per season.

Lehner walks.

Panarin starts off with Nelson and Bailey on the defacto #1 line, while Lee plays with Barzal and Eberle on the "#2" line to spread out the scoring.

Beau slides into the 3C spot, with dal Colle and Ho-Sang on his wings.

Cizikas continues to center the Best Fourth Line in Hockey. Komarov plays the 4 RW spot if Clutter isn't ready for opening day.

Leddy is moved for picks to give Toews and Aho a spot on the Left side. Hickey is kept as the 7th D.

With Bob as the start, Greiss is moved to CGY for a 2nd round pick. Pickard is signed as a more traditional (and cheaper) backup (Isles current goalie coach was his GC with the Marlies that's why I chose him).

Boychuk is moved to OTT to make a spot for Dobson, whos shows he is NHL ready. OTT takes on Boychuks contract in order to reach the CAP floor and to provide veteran leadership on their back end.

Near 0% chance the Boychuk accepts a trade to Ottawa...

Also, there is no way the Isles go into next season with basically two rookies as a defense pairing. That would be incredibly risky.

The defensive pairings can be adjusted accordingly, obviously. Just put in the guys I think will be in the top 6. Also, Boychuk can be enticed to go to Ottawa, if it means playing regular Top 4 minutes with OTT or being the 7th D on the Islanders.

I’d rather be the 7th defenseman for the Islanders than the top guy in that dumpster fire... I think the only place he’d waive the no trade is Edmonton bc he’s from there.

I'm sure Boychuk wants to play and not sit a whole season. Our 7th D last year played like 9 games total all season. Plus, his contract switches to a M-NTC and NOT a NMC, so the Isles could also threaten to bury him in the minors for the remainder of his contract... would you rather play for the Senators or the Bridgeport Sound Tigers?

But the actuality is, it doesn't have to be OTT, just used them as an example because they will likely need Salary to get to the CAP Floor.
