Buying out the last year of staal, trading shatty in his final year, and burying smith in the minors for call up purposes. A struggling top 4 dman on his last contract year for a struggling forward... dont see the issue here... pul is going to play in Europe if he isnt traded cause he doesn't want to play for the dumpster fire oilers.

Why does everyone assume on this website that shattenkirk has negative value... his point totals were bad because he was INJURED... his advanced stats are still good and put him in the range of a top 4 dman... look it up. People assume that he is a negative value because some moron on the internet wrote that the rangers should consider buying him out... he is a top 4 defensemen on the oilers for sure... and as far as positive value go for pul, he has shown nothing in the nhl that has him with any value, which is why he is on the 3rd line of this team. Giving each player the opportunity to try and turn things around a little bit.
