Some thoughts on the Aho offer sheet situation. First and foremost Dundon is a business man and owner, this is not just a hockey decision. Ultimately he cares about his return on investment, cash flow, and profits. Obviously keeping Aho will field a more competitive team, which contributes greatly to a smaller market teams financial success. The challenge, however, is that keeping Aho will result in approximately 21 million in cash outflow over a 12 month period. I would have to imagine they are looking at financial projections and what the true return on investment is. This is what kind of guy Dundon is. They are privately held so I don't know their net cash flow or operating income for the past year but it would be interesting to look at. Yes, he is a billionaire but that doesn't necessarily mean he wants to come up with 21M in liquid assets given how his AAF investment went.

This is not an easy and trial decision that everyone keeps suggesting.
