Kinda dumb for Avs to be so close to the cap, probably over with bonuses. And then next year their own RFAs want contracts. Leafs match or the Marner doesn't even sign it.

How? If someone offer sheeted Marner RIGHT NOW, what would they do? They'd have to clear 6.8M in salary... So they're going to A) Trade Nylander and match Marner or B) Keep Nylander, let Marner walk and get 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd..
If any team proposed a trade of 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd to the Leafs for Marner they wouldn't take it tears of joy
