hm, that's a good point on Schuldt I honestly looked at this from a Blues perspective but honestly I think teh Blues signed Pouliot in case Eddy demanded too much as an RFA so Schuldt isn't make or break, just seemed like a reasonable return


Kostin won't move for Gusev? I mean, Kostin has good upside and the team likes him but Gusev's floor is basically Kostin's upside hence the need to throw in a first, what makes you think Kostin is unmovable for Gusev?

Gusev is too big of a risk, and 2 you don't know if he will make an impact from the transition of KHL to NHL. Gusev might be good, but he won't be worth 4 MillionDollars.

That's a reasonable view but Gusev's floor is pretty darn high and all of valuing Kostin at all is European success (to a much much lesser extend than Gusev) and visual on ice upside from tool (agian to a much lesser extent than Gusev)

Basically Gusev is Kostin's upside if he waited until now to come stateside and the only downsides are a little more money and him being older. While I totally get reservations for Gusev, why wouldn't they all apply to Kostin but exponentially more?
