you will have to give something real up to get rid of jack johnson. teams wont just take your cap dumps for nothing.

I don't know. There are enough teams that still have a belief in the positive aspects of JOHNSON's game. Maybe retain some salary but I think you could move in with relative ease at 3.25 cap hit for a guy with 870 NHL games, 26 NHL playoff games and a relatively abrasive style when he wants to play hard. Also money owing is only 3, 2.25 so the heavy salary years are over.

Ottawa may not be the best match- but any team looking to upgrade a 3rd pair....and a playoff team.
