Description
This is what I think the team would/should look like at the end of the 2019/2020 season. These are the type of moves I want Benning to make. Utilize the cap space with BC born Seabrook, get assets. Trade all the overpaid players. Yes, it would cost giving up picks, that hurts, but it’s worth it to speed up the rebuild. This also allows Canucks ample cap space to give Hughes and Pettersson big contracts the year after, especially with Edler taking a discount/retiring. I have also assumed the cap goes up by $1.5M in 2020. And should go up by another million or two when Petey and Hughes sign. The Markstrom trade, would make Demko the starter and saves us from losing him in the expansion draft. The future is now, it’s Demko time! Also, Tim Schaller and Oscar Fantenberg would walk in Free Agency so they shouldn’t be there. Also two of Tryamkin, Madden, Hoglander, Lind, Woo should make the squad the season after, from training camp. Leivo/Baertschi and Benn would probably have to make way! More trades. And we can always send Seabrook to Utica if he truly falls of a cliff, which would also save a million in cap space. And make way for our young D men.

you are gong to have to attach value to Sutter to get rid of him, you wont get a pick even a 7th for someone to take him off your hands.
Also Avs have 0 need or use for him, he would be in the AHL or bought out.

Sorry I don’t think Chicago makes that trade. Too many draft picks. 2 1sts and a 2nd with Seabrook? I’d rather trade him and retain salary.

I’m assuming Benning makes these trades during the season. The Sutter one will probably be at the deadline, assuming he has been fairly healthy. And he is still a 30-40 point Bottom 6 Centre. Colorado needs offensive depth. They have Wilson as their 3C. A healthy Sutter is just as good as him, if not better.

That statement alone shows you have 0 clue about the Avs players or team. Wilson is not the 3C The Top 9 is

    Landy Mack Rants
    Jost Kadri Bura
    Wilson Compher Donskoi

Sutter is not better than Neito, Calvert, or Bellemare or even Kamanev to be on the active roster...Avs have Kaut, Bowers, Greer fighting for a spot from the AHL team. Sutter is not good, hes been terrible before he was injured and is a corpse the last 2 seasons. He has negative value. The fact that you call him Offensive depth...the guy is the exact opposite of that
