Description
A just for sh!ts and giggles idea because I love 3-ways! ;) TOR gets space to sign Marner, adds a former 1st rounder, a 1st and a 3rd, and some D cover, but give up Nylander. NAS loses a star and a couple of lower picks but adds two former 1sts, one established the other a prospect and another 1st. COL add a star and regain their 6th but effectively lose four 1sts. Haven't bothered with lines too much just made the roster numbers right.

Interestingly, other Nashville fans have said they don't want to trade Tolvanen for example because the Preds' prospect pool is so weak. This trade would add a good prospect to that pool, and Nylander replaces Forsberg, hopefully returning to form, plus the Preds add a first to add further to the prospect pool, so there is a good reason to do it from Nashville's PoV. Not saying it would ever happen of course. That said, it is only because I want a new Forsberg in an Avs uniform. It'll always p**s me off that Washington got him with the pick we traded for Varly lol.

I like Nylander and getting a good prospect is solid - I just don't see them trading Forsberg honestly. And I wouldn't want to.

Oh absolutely, I agree, I can't see them trading him, but in theory I'd say the value in the trade isn't all that far off. Maybe a few more prospects/picks need to be involved going different ways, purely because that kind of trade would have to be an overpay to a divisional rival, even if they're getting good pieces back.
