As a Ranger fan I dont like this deal at all. Strome is a better hockey player than Martin.
I also think that, despite what I just wrote, it would be tough for NYI as well, because Martin does have good chemistry with the other bottom sixers on the Islanders who do such a good job for them.

I don't think either team does this. It doesn't save the Rangers enough cap space and Strome has been better than Martin. For the Islanders, we have a really good 4th line and I want to keep that line, plus we're giving up a pick and that's all just for Ryan Strome ... Ryan Strome with the Islanders rolling eyes

. That didn't work out lol.
