My explanation of these moves: Bozak is moved for picks to a team that needs a top 3 center- which is all that he is, this allows both Matthews and Nylander to play their natural positions, although this move isnt necessary at the start of the season, it could occur only after the two rookies have shown their ready, and neither is moved to the wing.
Demers- Im thinking he will be in the $5m-6m range and hes young enough that they can build around him for the next 5-6 years.
Hamhuis- gives them a top 4 defensive dman, who they can either hold for 2 years- or move at some point to get younger, but for the sanity of their goalies- they will need some vets on D.
Parenteau- could be relatively cheap signing. basically any veteran who can play on the top 3 lines without a huge contract or term.
Although this gets them close to the cap, Bernier, Greening, Michalek will all be on the move at years end. Laich i put in the minors, as i dont see him being a regular at this stage in his career. If Robidas is healthy- then that would negate the need to sign Hamhuis.
