Not bothering with depth rankings.
Summary:
- The graduation of Kotkaniemi will be offset with the addition of Caufield. Pronman was big on Caufield, ranking him as an Elite prospect and projected 5th overall before the draft.
- Suzuki was acquired after the ranking last year, and Pronman rated him as a Very Good prospect. Pronman is using bubble tiers this year, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Suzuki classified as High End / Very Good after adding a step to his speed and becoming the OHL playoff MVP.
- Poehling keeps the same ranking, Very Good, which projects him as a top 6 forward. After becoming world junior MVP and scoring an NHL hat-trick it is possible he gets a higher ranking, but very good sounds reasonable.
- Ylonen gets a slight bump down to Very Good / Legit Bubble, however, Pronman is big on him and has said Ylonen will take a little longer to develop.
- Romanov, Primeau, and Brook all jump up to the Very Good / Legit Bubble. Pronman is conservative with Goalies, but did comment if Primeau put together another successful year he would be considered a better prospect, which he did. He could be very good. Same with Romanov and Brook. I am being conservative with my predictions for those two, because Pronman was not big on them a year ago, especially Romanov who wasn't even considered a depth prospect. After becoming world junior top defenseman, I'm sure hes caught Pronman's attention. Button projects him as a top 3 defenseman, which would put him at High End / Very good, but like I said, being conservative.
- The rest of the players arent overly notable yet, but it is clear Montreal's prospect pool will be better than the one that got them 6th best in the NHL last year.
I'd drop Struble to the bubble tier of where he's at and the tier below, he's an athletic freak, but wasn't really projected to go until the 4th round at the earliest (that I saw) before the combine, also who would you take between Brook and Romanov

Romanov wasn’t supposed to go before the 4th round and look at him. I think Ylonen will be in the very good because of the end of his season.
