Description
This is just a best case scenario dumping all the extra contracts and salaries which I personally consider expendable. Not all of it will happen. Not all of it is necessary.

Love your set up on contracts and the players being traded buddy. I may be inclined to add maatta to that trade, but maybe that changes in a year. I love that Lehner contract most of all. No need for a 7-8 year contract, but I do think he might get more if he plays well.

Also, I’m still not sold on Gus being on this team come next year. What are your thoughts on that if I could ask? In the sense why do you think he’ll still be here. The only negative I may have is that I hope strome doesn’t get that money. If he is terrific this year, he may earn it. However, I’m still not sure if he can play without debrincat. But that might be my only concern for now. If I could ask again, what’s the thought going into his dollar amount?

Otherwise, good thread, and I do agree with those trades for sure. I might sub Murphy for maatta, but otherwise very good!

Gus, Strome, Kubalik all need to prove themselves this year.

I’m guessing Gus works more on defense this year and regresses to 45-59 points this year. He’s a puck moving D man who can run a PP. he, Boqvist and Beaudin will be the three offensively minded Dmen on the team.

Strome puts up 60-69 points again after a full season. I think $6.25M is a decent “bridge” contract for him based upon only 1.5 seasons of strong hockey. But if he’s capable of putting up 60-70 points consistently throughout the contract he’ll begin to earn a lot more.

Kubalik I’m assuming will get about 40-45 points. A little better than Kahun. But again with 1 year in the NHL and putting up 0.5ppg, he needs to prove himself a little more but deserves a two year tryout contract that works for both player and team.

Thanks for the questions!

Seabs is very unlikely to go anywhere but the cap space is available to keep him on the roster. Otherwise this is pretty good; you could trade Maatta and save another $650K. That 2nd line needs a defensive forward on the line. Nylander, Debrincat and Strome may be good offensively but our defense will get killed with these guys on the ice.

I hear ya. Idk where else he fits though. In my scheme if is on third line then it could be an all rookie line which is also disastrous. Maybe it’ll just have to be the line that will give up some goals. ??‍♂️

What about putting Dach at C2 and Strome at C3?
