Description

Imaginary World:
Patrick has a very slow start to this season with only 10 points after 40 games. JG calls up Philly and offers Kreider (who would agree to an extension) and Howden for Patrick and a 3rd round pick. Philly accepts. Patrick then puts up 30 points in his final 42 games. JG extends him to a MacKinnon like deal in hopes he breaks out like Mack did. Rangers just miss playoffs, but win the lottery-- the McDonald shield is our lucky charm -- rangers draft Lafreniere. Rangers bring over Henriksson and convince Miller to make the leap-- Marc Staal retires. Lindgren overtakes Hajek and Rykov. Rangers post one of the first all US defense cores in the history of the NHL.

If Nolan Patrick was the full return for trading Kreider and Howden, I think I would be pretty bummed out.

His potential is still too much at this point.. i wouldn't like giving up howden either but Patrick has top line potential while Howden is really a 2c/3c kinda guy.. it's a risky move don't get me wrong, but it could pay off in a big way. plus between Kakko and Lafreniere there is no doubt the production will come
