Quoting: SevenLeg
I doubt we re-sign Tatar. KK, Poehling and Gallagher will all get paid more but the cap will probably be higher than that in '23. Also, there are a lot of players better than McCarron ( Teasdale, Ylonen, Armia, etc
i take it you've ignored why the Cap didnt go up as much as people thought
NHLPA is not happy with Escrow that increases as the cap does
so Crosby for example loses more money they use as a safety net
players like Crosby have made Escrow program by the league one of their top issues for the next lockout
i doubt we see Cap reach the levels you all assume because it robs the players who are losing money to taxes already then lose a big chunk to the league .
KHL doesnt do this which is why they've risen in every market outside North America that the NHL has tried to break into .
why the NHL tries a game with mixed results in China but KHL has a Team because they're promoting an alternative to Betman's legacy of destroying Hockey just like he did the NBA
As KHL makes better Tv deals and experiments with Announcers that speak many languages they become an option for those looking to not be robbed by the League . Emelin's over there with Desharnais making bank not because the KHL teams paid them more then the NHL would but because the KHL guarantee's they keep what they make without them sticking their fingers in the cookie jar.
buddy on tsn 690 talks about the danger of Escrow for the NHL a lot since April this year
he pointed out that unless you're playing top line in the NHL you'll get paid more to play less in KHL
