This team is clearly entering a rebuild and it's time to face the facts. Our window is closed and we need to start over.
All these deals happen at the trade deadline. And while I know that cap space is a thing, remember that this is hypothetical and at the trade deadline.

why would any of these teams do this.
LA does not want Rask.
Foligno is a goon. There no no way COL trades for a goon for the playoffs. He's too slow to play hockey at today's speed.

This team looked really slow on the ice against the penguins.
They need to add youth and speed especially in the forward group.

Foligno is really good defensively (-29% defensive threat last year), not sure how Colorado wouldn't want him.

dude gets 30.4% of his starts in the defensive zone, plays 12 minutes a night, but he's good defensively?
No he's not. He's a goon. He hits people. That's what he's good at. Other than that he's slow, has no ability to contribute to the offense and is frequently blow past on the ice.
COL would want no part of that, None of that works with the speed playoff teams are bringing to the ice.
If you want a goon you better go find one in the Anderson/Wilson mold.
Big, Fast, capable of actually playing hockey and helping out.
Foligno's days are done.

By the minute chance you aren’t trolling here...you might want to watch Foligno actually play! He’s a darn good player! In fact, if the Wild were constructed properly, he would be their 3rd line wing on a defensively responsible line that also contributes offensively.
Add this to the fact he is the Wilds best penalty killer and a loooong way from slow and you might realize he’s not just a goon. OR, you could actually watch him play...your choice.

it's this thought process that explains why the wild need a rebuild
