Description
This is my College project where I find a solution to get the Jets a Stanley Cup. Salary Cap raises $2.5 million this year.

Please check it out and don't be hasty.

Reasons:

Buff won't come back so they trade him for a Centerman to fill in for Little.

Resigning Vatanen, Roslovic and Appleton is key.

Signing UFA's:

Halak is the perfect experienced backup for Helle and he knows what it takes to win.

Del Zotto can play up and down the lineup perfectly.

Why are you giving Roslovic so much money to play on the 3rd line? If he has earned that much money it’s means he’s established that he can play 2C at a pretty high level, which to this point he hasn’t. A 2-3 year bridge at like 2.5M-3M would be more realistic.

Little should also be back sometime this year, so Anisimov shouldn’t be needed. Even if he doesn’t come back internal options such as Roslovic should be tried rather than trade for a stopgap guy who realistically shouldn’t be playing 2C on a contender.

Samberg will be signed to his ELC in the spring, and he should be ready to play 3rd pairing minutes right off the bat, so no need for Del Zotto. Probably don’t need to re-sign Vatanen either, just play Niku instead. We will need that cap space to re-sign Laine. Also just re-sign Brossoit, he will be cheaper than Halak and not much of a downgrade.

This completely goes against everything I just did lol. So basically what your saying is, don’t do anything. Exactly what Cheveldayoff is doing right now and look how far that’s gotten him? The Jets probably won’t make playoffs this year and if nothing changes soon then they won’t next year. Something has to be done... so this is what I would do.
