I'd rather resign Weber over Hamhuis. If you sign another D like Gudas, I'd rather do a 2 year deal with the expansion draft in mind. I think Seattle will be interested in a lot of 1 year contracts that they can trade at the deadline for picks, and a depth D like Gudas would be just that. Gives the Seattle different options so that the Preds may be able to make a deal to keep certain players.

Also, I don't think that Granlund has done anything (at least for the Preds) so far to earn $7m. I'd rather trade him than pay him that price tag when he clearly isn't clicking with the Preds. If that changes, then sure, sign him (but still for less money hopefully). But if you can trade him for someone that fits the Preds better, I'd rather do that.
