We have 2 guys (Rust/Tanev) who make about 1/2 of Saad money who do basically the same thing and fit perfectly with our team, and are controlled longer. Pass on him

Mutual agreement on the outcome. Hawks pass on this too. Saad's been a huge part of the Hawks. They don't have any interest in Bjugstand or ZAR and the pick wouldn't be high enough.

Don't want Saad at a $6M hit. (and moving a $4M bad hit for a $6M bad hit doesn't help, it is still a 50% more, $6M bad hit)

Should be able to get better than that for DeSmith. If the player isn't actually of value, I would rather get just picks and not waste the roster spot.
