I like Evgeny and if he has a better chance to play on a different team I'm all for it. What your offering here is about as close as you can get to nothing. McCormick is 27 and he's is still bouncing between the NHL and AHL and he is a UFA so he really has no value at all from Detroits POV. Evgeny is still bouncing between the AHL and NHL as well but he is about 4 1/2 years younger. Detroit is also getting a 6th round pick in a draft that is over 2 years away.

Yeah had no idea on his value, just added him because of Andrei. Could easily swap McCormick for a different player similar in age to Evgeny with some potential.

ik this isn't serious, but CAR doesn't do the NYR or PHI trades, Tulsky knows Gards hasn't bee bad this year, just unlucky, and won't give him up for at best nothing, and Nino>/=JvR and has a much much better contract

Now that you said that I see what you mean. 2 seasons ago Evgeny had a really good pre-season then didn't get called up till the end of the year Holland did kind of screwed him and then last season he tears his ACL and misses the entire season. Through all of that he never got down about any of it. He is always smiling and staying positive. It's really hard not to want to see him do well no matter what team he is on.
