So not only do we get a backup goalie for our top sixer, but we also get a terrible D man making 5 million!

I dont know why Georgiev is seen as a backup. In the new year he's 17th in 5v5 save % and 15th in GAA. He's good, they dont want to trade him unless they get a middle 6 forward and can get rid of some salary. Their asking price is high, i get the hesitation from most teams...but the Sharks jeez. And Smith for 1 year only costs you $1.85 in salry and 2.85 in cap smile Bargain compared to Vlasic!
